Can Your Ceiling Support a Hanging Fireplace?

Most ceiling fireplaces weigh between 15 and 35 kilograms. A concrete ceiling can effortlessly support this with heavy anchors; for a wooden floor, you attach it to the joists. Only a plasterboard ceiling without a supporting structure is unsuitable. A slanted ceiling can often work, with an adapted suspension. How Much Heat Does a Hanging Bio-Ethanol Fireplace Provide?

A ceiling fireplace produces real flames and thus real heat — depending on the burner, several kilowatts, enough to noticeably warm up the seating area.
