Thanks to its 1.8-liter burner capacity, it provides up to 4 to 5 hours of atmospheric fire. Een bio-ethanol haard brandt op biologische brandstof (bio-ethanol). De vloeistof wordt in de brander gegoten en veilig aangestoken met een lange aansteker. Binnen enkele seconden verschijnen echte vlammen die warmte en sfeer verspreiden. Omdat de verbranding rookvrij en geurloos is, is er geen rookkanaal of gasaansluiting nodig. Bij automatische branders gaat het nog eenvoudiger: deze worden bijgevuld met een pomp en bediend via een afstandsbediening of app.
